Travel Grant Information
Limited travel support is available to assist students and qualifying applicants in their efforts to attend the 44th ISTS Symposium in Hawaiʻi. Priority will be given to individuals that are presenting, demonstrate a financial need, and are from an under-represented region. Note that Travel Grants typically consist solely of bed grants (i.e., no cash) and should not be expected to cover other aspects of symposium travel.
Applications for a travel grant are scheduled to open in October 2025. To apply for a travel grant, you must first register for the 44th ISTS Symposium via the Registration Site (link will be activated closer to the date of the event) and then select ‘Apply for a ISTS Travel Grant’ on the registration site home page (link will be available after registering). Applications must be made before the deadline in November 2025. No late applications will be considered.
Awarded grants are currently scheduled to be announced in December 2025. Grant recipients are expected to attend the entire symposium, attend the ISTS Symposium plenary session, and volunteer for the symposium, as requested.
Applicants should apply to the region from which they are traveling, NOT where the research was conducted.
