The 44th ISTS Symposium will be held at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa, an amazing 4-star venue perched atop the cliffs of Keauhou Bay on Hawaiʻi Island. The resort is just south of the town of in Kailua-Kona, approximately 20 kilometers from the Kona International Airport (KOA), and features the Kaleiopapa Convention Center, a 10,000-square-foot facility where all the primary symposium activities will take place.
There are onsite restaurant, cafe, and bar options offering local and international cuisine, as well as an oceanfront swimming pool (and water slide!), and various cultural and diversion opportunities.
A limited number of rooms are available at the special 44th ISTS Symposium price, so be sure to make your booking as far ahead in advance as possible! Also note that the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa has limited capacity, which will likely be reached with this event, so you should reserve your room to ensure you get to stay at the meeting venue.
Room Rate: Room rates start at $265++ per night and go up, depending on the options chosen. Note that adding a 3rd and 4th person only costs an additional $20 per night per person, offering an opportunity for attendees to room-share and minimize expenses at this incredible location.

Getting the the venue from the airport (KOA): Guests can make advanced reservations for a shuttle from Kona International Airport (KOA) to the venue through Speedishuttle.com (KOA listed as Ellison Onizuka Kona Int'l Airport at Keahole on the website). Taxi service and rideshare options (Uber and Lyft) are also available upon landing. Various car rental services are also available at the airport and with this this option you can take advantage of the free parking secured at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa for symposium participants (normally $25 per night).

Symposium participants are strongly encouraged to stay at the primary symposium venue for the following reasons:
